What is Nano-Technology?

A nano surface coating applies a very thin layer of material composed of extremely small particles (nanoparticles) to the surface of aluminium. These particles are between 1-100 nanometres in diameter, allowing for a very smooth and tightly adhering layer on the aluminium surface.

This creates a protective barrier with extremely unique characteristics due to its nano-scale dimensions. Achieved through anodization, where a nanoporous aluminium oxide (AIO3) layer is formed on the surface, which can be further modified with other nanoparticules for specific functionalities.
